Several years age, fate brought Kelly and Tamara together. They became instant friends sharing so many things in common, mainly a passion for turning their part-time businesses into full-time careers. They decided to join forces and start a company together, which they playfully named Cookies & Cream. Their mission was to bring a shopping market to Ascension Parish where they both reside. After two years of talking and planning they finally found the perfect location to host their event, and Jolly Jingles was born.
Jolly Jingles is a semi-annual gift and general merchandise market featuring over 100 vendors selling a wide variety of items ranging from apparel, jewelry, shoes, accessories, children's apparel, toys, gifts, artwork, home decor, food, candles, unique items, and so much more. The market is currently being held inside the 25,000SF Trademart Building at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, Louisiana in July (Christmas in July) and last weekend of November or first weekend of December (Holiday Market) of every year. It is the first and only event of it's type in Ascension Parish, which is the fastest growing parish in the state of Louisiana. Although the market is still in its infancy, there is plenty of room for it to grow without the need to change venues. Unlike other similar shopping markets, Jolly Jingles is a family-friendly event. Children 12 & under get in free, and strollers are welcome.
